The Juvenile Justice Specialist works in the Redeploy Illinois Program, providing direct case management, assessment, and community linkage to youth and families, all from a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective. This position maintains a caseload of families who reside in St. Clair and surrounding counties.
Juvenile Justice Specialist responsibilities include:
Provide comprehensive, in-home case management services to youth and families; assess for immediate needs and history of trauma
Collaborate with clients to develop service plans and monitor progress over time
Assist youth and families in navigating the Juvenile Justice System
Work closely with other service providers such as schools, the juvenile justice department, and child welfare agencies to ensure coordination of services
Monitor for safety concerns; develop strengths-based safety plans with youth and families
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field required.
Experience working with children and families required; experience working with adolescents preferred.
Must have exceptional writing and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required.
