The Juvenile Justice Specialist works in the Redeploy Illinois Program, providing direct case management, assessment, and community linkage to youth and families, all from a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective. This position maintains a caseload of families who reside in St. Clair and surrounding counties. 

Juvenile Justice Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive, in-home case management services to youth and families; assess for immediate needs and history of trauma

  • Collaborate with clients to develop service plans and monitor progress over time

  • Assist youth and families in navigating the Juvenile Justice System

  • Work closely with other service providers such as schools, the juvenile justice department, and child welfare agencies to ensure coordination of services

  • Monitor for safety concerns; develop strengths-based safety plans with youth and families

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field required.

  • Experience working with children and families required; experience working with adolescents preferred.

  • Experience working in the juvenile justice system a plus.
  • Ability to build rapport and effectively engage youth and families required.
  • Must have exceptional writing and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required.
