Camp Directors will manage programming and staff at each camp. Camp Directors will be the primary persons in charge of oversight of camp at all times. Some roles of a camp directorare communicationwith parents/guardians, implementation of all-camp events, ensuringthe daily camp schedule is followed, and assisting counselors with camper needs.Prior camp experience, youth development experience, and/or management experience are required. Camp Directors must be in Austin, Texas from May 9th August 14th, 2019. Camp Directors make $6,000 over the course of the summer.
Duties & Expectations:
Directors will be responsible for maintaining the flow of daily programming and supporting camp counselors & staff as neededthroughout the entire5 day camp experience -- minus your daily breaks.
A personal vehicle is not needed, butis recommended for folks that wish to explore the surrounding area/ go on all the adventures! It is not uncommonfor counselors to carpool to a nearby grocery stores/ events.
Staff are expected to become familiar with and model the sociological perspectiveof Austin Sunshine Camps' SHINE values.
