Employment opportunityTitle: Executive ChairmanLOCATION: Must reside in Pennsylvania; home based STATUS: Part-time; 20 hours/weekSALARY: $30,000MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, communications, travel/tourism or related study plus a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in related fieldOR(10) years of work experience in related fieldPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:· Successful in managing budgets, including government funding reporting· Must have a passion for the sports tourism industry· Skilled in communications, both oral and written· Must possess strong negotiating skills DESCRIPTION:Report to and work closely with the membership to seek their involvement in policy decisions, funding, and to increase the overall visibility of PA SportsAssist the treasurer with planning and operation of the annual budgetAnalyze potential sponsorships for all trade shows and make suggestions to the committee; Assist in expediting all contracts; Assist the trade show committee with all aspects of presenting a successful trade show; Attend all trade shows and conferences designated by the membership and be present in entirety; Handle all logistics including shipping, sponsorship fulfillment, program and web advertisements, promotional items/planner gifts, and sponsored events Assist with the planning and executing all aspects of all sales missionsMaintain relationships with the state tourism office and oversee annual grant requestsServe as primary spokesperson to the organization’s constituents, state sports groups, the media and the general publicOversee all marketing, advertising, social media, promotional products and collateral including the PA Sports website, facebook page, and press releasesSeek and secure sponsorships for the organizationPlan and attend board and committee meetingsProvide monthly reports, as directed by the Board, on activities and operationsWork with Board to develop and implement an ongoing strategic plan, to promote PA Sports, and especially the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as a premiere destination for sporting events and activitiesBENEFITS:All travel expenses (registration, airline, car, taxi, meals, hotel, etc.) for trade shows and conferences designated and/or approved by the Executive CommitteeApproved office expenses (paper, ink, printer, etc.)APPLY:Please submit a resume and cover letter to PA Sports Secretary, Amy Capcara, at email@example.com by December 31, 2019.
