Camp Brainy Bunch is Hiring Counselors for the Summer of 2020!
Are you an expert at blowing bubbles and a master of setting up relay races?
Do you like working hard, don't mind getting messy, and aren't embarrassed to sing a silly song in front of a crowd of kids?

Camp Brainy Bunch has 12 sites throughout the Bay Area providing a fun day camp environment for summer play and learning for campers in 1st through sixth grade.
SF Locations: Alamo Square & the Richmond
Counselor Hours/Week: 10-40
Camp Hours: 7:45am-5:45pm, shifts are from 3-8 hours per day
Commitment: One Day Training & 3-8 weeks at Camp
This is a temporary summer role with opportunities for individuals to join us for 3 or more weeks from June 8 - August 7, 2020.
Pre-Camp:Attend mandatory paid staff trainingHelp prepare camp materials and set-up camp location
At Camp:Counselors support the day-to-day operations of Camp Brainy BunchSupport instructor staff in the classroom with camper management, supplies, teaching, etc.Supervise campers during all non-instructional times (lunch and extended care)Primary leader of activities with campers during non-instructional times (lunch and extended care)Support site leader in camp operations: check in/check out for campers, clean up, supply managementEnsure constant attention to physical and emotional safety of all campers at your siteHelp organize all camp materials each day and for close down at the end of each weekTreat all campers, parents, and co-workers with respect, empathy, and kindnessMaintain high standards of professionalism and integrity

Qualifications/Requirements:Education: Some College PreferredCamp or other experience supervising youthAbility to speak confidently and enthusiastically with parents and staffDirect experience working with 1-6th grade studentsFlexible and willing to have fun in a team atmosphereCreative, trustworthy, high-energy, passionate for camp, inspiring, articulate, organized, and flexibleCurrent CPR/First Aid certification a plus
