Assists the facility PI/Risk Manager in the implementation of daily observation and documentation as needed. Operates as the facility Risk Manager in the absence of the PI/Risk Manager keeping the facility safe for treatment of the patients.
Supervises performance improvement/compliance processes in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, licensing requirements, CARF standards, and agency stipulations. Researches, drafts, writes, and implements policies and procedures related to the operation of the facility in accordance with contractual obligations and established standards. Coordinates relevant surveys and licensure audits. Monitors compliance standing with facility wide performance improvement plans. Supervises CARF process for Hermitage Hall.
Operates as the facility Risk Manager in the absence of the PI/Risk Manager.
Works in partnership with administration, department managers, and corporate personnel to implement organizational policies and procedures that are in compliance with licensing regulations, referring agency stipulations, contractual requirements, CARF standards, HIPAA policy, ordinances, and laws.
Coordinates loss control efforts by advising management of identified risks and causative factors and making recommendations for reduction/loss prevention.
Assists the CEO in facilitating the processing of summons and complaints served on the facility and staff.
Implements and maintains facility-wide incident reporting system in accordance with corporate policy and regulatory requirements and ensures timely reporting of and response to (if applicable) occurrences.
Helps maintain a variety of standard records and reports required by facility and corporate management, contractual requirements, regulatory agencies, CARF standards, and HIPAA policy in accordance with corporate and facility record retention and storage procedures.
Performs responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner as described by his/her professional associations code of ethics.
Supports Hermitage Halls Service Excellence program.
Reviews committee meeting minutes and reports/records produced by staff.
Reviews and responds to adverse occurrences regarding AdvoCare residents within required timeframes
Takes part in senior management meetings, governing board meetings, and committee meetings that are organized to improve the efficiency and quality of facility programming, services, operations, and systems.
Performs administrator-on-call duties in rotation with other senior managerial staff. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelors Degree or higher and 3 years of direct care experience, preferably in an adolescent residential facility. Two years of training experience. Must be at least 21 years of age or older. Must have strong organizational skills and time management skills.
Masters degree in nursing, social work, social or behavioral science, or other acceptable field; licensure as a Nurse, Social Worker, or Professional Counselor preferred; two or more years of related experience and/or training; experience in a residential setting preferred. Experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Additional graduate course work in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
