Adult Residential Treatment, Detox, and Outpatient Psychiatry | Locums Job in Southern California
*Need is for adult residential treatment and detox, and possibly some outpatient coverage
*Forty hours a week starting 3/4/19 for 1-3 months.
*Patients are residential treatment as well as outpatient PHP and IOP levels of care. Co-occurring disorders. Voluntary program participation. Adults (male/female).
*The greater need will be at the Client s co-ed Treatment Center (because of double the patient census there at that site) and their Stabilization/Detox Center (doing psychiatric evaluations).
*Will generally work days, Monday through Friday, 8AM-5PM, with some rotating on-call (about one week every 4-6 weeks, although they may not have a Locums cover on-call).
*Medical physicals for the H&Ps for new admissions/intakes are done by a Primary Care Physician.
*Must be computer literate.
*Must be Board Certified, California licensed Psychiatrist with experience in co-occurring disorders and be able to see a reasonable level of patients assigned daily and for follow-up.
*Must be DEA registered and CAQH (for preferred provider status with insurance carriers, which the Client can help them to do).
*Must have a Suboxone license.
*Must have no disciplinary action against your license.
*Client allows up to two hours max for initial evaluations.
*Medical follow-ups average 20 minutes with patient and 10 minutes for documentation for total of 30 minutes per patient.
*Client prefers three month minimum assignments with the option to extend if mutually agreed upon.
*No methadone maintenance.
*Client prefers someone comfortable to work with gay/lesbian/transgender populations as they have a GLBT program track for some patients.
*They are a multi-disciplinary team. Their environment is clinical and not medically-driven, but the medical providers are integral to their treatment program.
