Facilities
Director of Facilities (F/T)
Responsibilities: Ensures that all facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and are properly maintained; supervises maintenance personnel; oversees multiple building mechanisms, including complex HVAC systems; performs quality control inspections to ensure compliance with current standards; performs basic plumbing & carpentry, and other trades as skills permit; oversees maintenance of vehicles and parking issues.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; five years of hands on experience in the management and maintenance of buildings; three years of supervisory experience; knowledge of and ability to perform general maintenance duties such as carpentry, plumbing and mechanical repairs; knowledge and ability to operate miscellaneous hand tools, power tools, etc.; and a valid New Jersey driver's license.
Community Schools Program at School No. 5
Youth Development Specialist (P/T)
Responsibilities: Serves as a member of a team committed to helping young people build on existing assets to make positive choices about their health and well-being, academic achievement and interaction with others; assists with providing high-quality remediation activities in core academic areas such as reading and mathematics, enrichment activities including arts and culture, youth development experiences, and physical activity; infuses social, emotional, and character development into the program as a means to impacting positive student behavior; Ensures an environment that motivates and inspires creativity; develops and implementing monthly lesson plans; Managing classroom activity and maintaining program space; Attending regularly scheduled staff- meetings.
Qualifications: High School Diploma; completed at least two years of college; strong commitment to providing high quality programming for youth; have a passion for the arts; ability to work schedule of 3pm to 6pm Monday through Friday; good organizational skills; self- starter; ability to work independently; good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; the ability to plan, schedule and carry out activities; and the ability to work effectively.
Extended Day Program at School No. 2
Program Coordinator (P/T)
Responsibilities: Manages all aspects of program; manages student enrollment; procures class supplies and materials in accordance to NJCDC requisitioning procedures; serves as primary staff liaison with PS2 School Principal and Administrators to ensure we are following the schools guidelines; supervises AmeriCorps Members or interns who will support the implementation of the program and will offer arts programs to Paterson children; coordinates parent engagement activities and workshops.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree in Special Education preferred; at least four years of experience working with school age children in classroom or afterschool program setting; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; demonstrated leadership capacity and sound judgement; ability to work independently, multi-task and work effectively as a member of a team.
Independence House
Program Director (F/T)
Responsibilities:Oversees all facets of program operations; ensures that all facility and all program components are operated in accordance with the highest level of standards of program quality and best practices and in strict adherence with state licensing regulations; screens all potential residents, develops individual service plans and ensures that all appropriate services are provided.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in human services related field with at least three years of experience in management and the delivery of services to adolescents and young adults, particularly at risk youth; Master's Degree is preferred; strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work a flexible work schedule; ability to work effectively independently and as a member of a team; and a valid driver's license.
Life Skills Coordinator (F/T)
Responsibilities: Implements Individual Service Plan (ISP) training/teaching schedule; ensures that ISP goals and objectives are addressed and outcomes are documented, monitored and met; ensures timely completion of program documentation as required by state standards, agency policy and procedures and quality assurance guidelines; and provides emergency shift coverage during staff shortages.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a human services field with one to three years of experience working with young adults or High School Diploma with three to seven years of experience working with young adults; a valid driver's license; good organizational and interpersonal skills; and a self-starter with ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

Responsibilities: Implements Individual Service Plan (ISP); ensures that ISP goals and objectives are being monitored and met; teaches skills as per the ISP and in accordance with established methods; reviews the daily logs, medication logs, communication logs activity sheets and incident reports at the beginning of each shift; and coordinates resident transportation.
Qualifications: High School Diploma with a minimum of two years of experience working with young adults; excellent organizational skills; ability to work effectively independently and as a member of a team; good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; and a valid driver's license; carry out activities; the ability to multi-task and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Hawthorne Heights Apartments
Residence Counselors (P/T- On Call)
Responsibilities: Carries out the residence's program plan which is developed in connection with residents' goals, objectives, and individual needs and preferences; ensures the health and safety of residents; provides assistance to residents in meeting goals and objectives; and properly maintaining program and consumer records.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in human services field with one to three years of experience or High School Diploma with one to two years of experience in the human services field; a valid New Jersey driver's license.
Elm Street Apartments
Youth Development Specialist (F/T - Evening Shift)

Teacher (F/T)
Responsibilities: Plans and implements day- to day curriculum for children assigned to classroom; Monitors needs of individual children; maintains appropriate records and documentation on the progress, accomplishments and needs of each child; leads individual conferences with parents regarding their child's education; informs parents of school news and activities; adhering to NAEYC Code of Ethics; meets with Director to report on program status and any needs or challenges of individual children or concerns of parents.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree; Pre-School through Grade 3 Certification (P-3), Certificate of Eligibility(CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advance Standing (CEAS); good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; highly organized and motivateds.
School Nurse (P/T)
Responsibilities: Conducts health screenings (vision, hearing, dental, height, and weight screenings): Monitors and follows up on individual child health records; documents and communicates with staff and parents about allergies or other health issues; Assists with written policies related to health, safety and nutrition; assists parents in locating appropriate medical and health resources, as needed; assists in the development of written emergency procedures; and provides health-related training to staff, parents and/or children.
Qualifications: Registered Nurse; New Jersey School Nurse Certificate, preferred; demonstrated expertise in school health nursing practice and emergency procedures; knowledge of child growth and development, community and family dynamics, current health issues and wellness education; knowledge of community health and social services resources and ability to communicate effectively with non-school health professionals and social service agencies.
