POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Program Coordinator Bilingual (Spanish) will play an integral role in implementing PowerMyLearning's program and services in New York City. PowerMyLearning's programs and services include direct work with families and students in New York City as well as partnering with teachers to help them leverage digital learning to increase student achievement.

The Program Coordinator role is a full-time position that has three main components: 1) supporting the administrative and logistical execution of our family workshops, 2) administrative program support, and 3) support for school recruitment and partnerships.

This position reports to the Senior Program Manager, Family Engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Implementation

  • Collaborate across teams to prepare logistics for family workshops, including printed materials, supplies, packing, and data management
  • Assist with outreach to families to ensure high workshop attendance
  • Attend family workshops to provide logistical support for quality implementation
  • Follow-up after family workshops to update attendance information and all other paperwork
  • Gather and accurately report data
  • Provide administrative support for the PowerMyLearning New York City office by managing procurement, supply orders and inventory
  • Manage the logistics of the entire recruiting process for part-time workshop staff
  • Coordinate and help lead part-time staff training, including materials and logistical preparation
  • Create, communicate, and maintain schedule for all part-time workshop staff

Partnerships Support

  • Preparing documents to facilitate sales and relationship management, including MOUs, Launch meeting materials, and marketing materials
  • Preparing ready-made teacher materials such as printed instructions and stickers for students
  • Keeping Salesforce database up-to-date with accurate contact and pipeline information

Other duties as necessary, including attendance at evening and Saturday program events as needed during the school year (approximately 10-15 Saturdays) with comp time to be used the following day/week.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Passion for PowerMyLearning's mission
  • Bilingual Spanish/English
  • 1-2 years of experience in program management
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Very detail oriented with strong writing skills
  • Strong relationship or \"people\" skills, including proven experience managing relationships with professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal oversight, but also takes direction well and is eager to meet or exceed performance goals
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure while working on multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to set priorities for self, team and peers, and adjust when priorities change
  • Proficient using all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel to all five of the New York City boroughs

Preferred:

  • Experience using Salesforce database
  • Experience working with youth and low-income communities
  • Experience working with NYC public schools
