SigNet is seeking experienced and technical Sales Executives. The position will support the Federal Government Sales of Integrated Physical Security Systems and/or Services in the West Coast area spanning a territory consisting of Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine. The candidate will support federal government programs efforts throughout SigNet as well as our Parent Company (Convergint Technologies).

Job Description

Responsible for the sale of Integrated Security Systems and Identity Management Systems such as: Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm, Intercom and other synergetic systems to the Federal Government. Develops new business prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of security systems and/or services. Familiar with Federal contracting and proposal development as well as GSA Schedules.


  • Has an awareness of the Federal Government market and has existing points of contact in which they can market to

  • Makes contact with businesses through on-site cold calls and networking by visiting properties and talking to management or owners.

  • Takes leads from existing customer base and develops new customer base.

  • Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of security systems and services.

  • Responsible for assigned sales quota.

  • Calls on existing customers.

  • Calls on prospects identified by SigNet and/or those identified via self generation.

  • Prepares proposals, and follows-up on outstanding proposals.

  • Create positive and lasting relationships without vendors and suppliers

  • Increase product knowledge among sales associates and involve senior management in product knowledge initiatives

  • Set appointments with clients and follow up with them afterward

  • Help improve brand awareness and social media presence in cooperation with the marketing department

Additional Information


Certifications such as PMP, CPP, PSP, CCNA or MCSE is a plus but not required. Desired manufacturer certificates such as Lenel, Software House, Identiv, Vindicator, AMAG, DAQ, etc. are a plus as well.
