Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions

Under administrative direction, manages the Cook North Region's portion of the statewide Sexual Behavior Problems (SBP) Program; provides input and recommendations in the development and implementation of statewide policies and procedures; provides input into the development of statewide SPB initiatives; develops, monitors, and provides SBP-specific consultative services; arranges evaluation and treatment of youth with sexual behavior problems; evaluates SBP youths' social, psychological, emotional, and environmental needs through psychosexual/social assessments, treatment plans, clinical quarterly reports, individual treatment plans, and other relevant documentation; directs and manages the assignment of youth with sexual behavior problems; monitors, reviews, and approves all supervision plans for identified youth; provides expert consultation to DCFS and purchase of service staff; translates and interprets, both orally and in writing, for Spanish speaking clients throughout the state regarding services available and the proper completion of forms.


Minimum Requirements:

Requires an MSW from a recognized college or university plus three years administrative child welfare experience or an acceptable master's degree in a human services field from a recognized college or university plus four years administrative child welfare experience; certification as an LCSW is preferred; requires effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and with diverse populations with complex needs; requires possession of a valid driver's license and ability to travel; requires ability to speak and write Spanish at a colloquial skill level.

Specialized skills: Of the previously noted years of experience, requires that the experience include direct clinical experience in social work, counseling, or psychological services; requires extensive knowledge of mental health assessment and evaluation practices and techniques; requires working knowledge of clinical terminology, including diagnoses.
