Duties: The Mid-Hudson Migrant Education provides individualized instruction and support services in order to promote the academic success of migrant eligible students. This is accomplished in partnership with migrant parents, youth, schools and community members.
DUTIES: Provide positive youth development and direct instructional services to Sullivan County migrant High School students through tutoring, Regents preparation, advocacy and support services in student homes and in school settings/buildings. Maintain contact with students teachers, parents and other school personnel as appropriate to align support with classroom instruction through a strategic approach. Assist in planning/recruiting/chaperoning field trips and other program-sponsored events. Participate in required professional development. Submit all required paperwork on a bi-weekly basis/in a timely manner (instructional forms, activity logs, time sheets, travel reimbursement, etc.).
Qualifications: Required:? Minimum Associate degree or equivalent in related field? Knowledge of NYS schools? Ability to utilize Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred:? Teaching experience? Bilingual Spanish
