Necessary to meet overall program goals and provide support to management and program staff.
Provide screening intakes and clinical assessments (CANS) for CRA-related families.
Work collaboratively with the Family Partner through all steps of family engagement and assessment and support planning.
Provide family and group counseling; facilitate psycho-educational groups to program participants and their families.
Create Family Support Plans with willing families based on needs identified from intake, screening, and assessment.
Collaborate with the Family Partner, DCF, courts, school systems, attorneys, and other behavioral health/mental health providers on the best course of treatment for youth and their families and make referrals accordingly.
Follow up with families within 2 weeks of referral to see if referred services have connected with families. Work in collaboration with other FRC staff to ensure follow up occur 60 days later to ensure families' satisfaction with the services of the FRC through a Family Satisfaction survey.
Review Family Support Plan with families at the end of 6 months from assessment completion to review adherence to the plan and/or identify additional necessary services and/or to adjust the plan if desired.
Maintain standards for clinical record keeping and monitor participant records for completeness and compliance, including data input into Gandara's EMR system and the UMASS system for FRC specifically.
Provide training as needed on clinical topics to families and children/adolescents.
III. Administrative Responsibilities/Record Keeping
Necessary to meet administrative requirements of the job by government bodies, funding sources, agency policy, etc.
Attends Clinical Team Meetings; Program Meetings; May fill in for other administrative team members at meetings as needed.
Organization and maintenance of all family client files and related information.
Seeks and uses management staff for training and supervision.
Attends Agency and Department required meetings and trainings.
Attends trainings and obtains CEUs in order to maintain professional licensure.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Displays excellent supervisory and delegation skills.
Ability to structure and organize job responsibilities independently.
Ability to deal with diverse population at varied levels of management.
This position is a 40 hour a week position; five (5), eight (8) hour days 1 week; with four (4) hours every other Saturday and the other four (4 )hours to be flexed, unless agreed upon otherwise by the Director of Family Resource Center/DCF contract. Shift hours are normally 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 10am 2pm on Saturdays, however actual hours may vary. The Clinician may share office space if necessary. Working conditions also includes travel between courts, schools, to and from scheduled trainings, etc. This position involves being exposed to at risk populations.
MSW, M.Ed, MS or other Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field
Independent Clinical License of LCSW, LICSW or LMHC
At least five years' clinical mental health/human services experience preferred
Must have valid driver's license
Must meet Agency requirements for driving history records and criminal background check
